From the days of Mures Fish House in Battery Point to our long-time home on Victoria Dock, it has been our greatest pleasure to have been a part of the Tasmanian hospitality industry for over half a century. As we look towards our future with our current refurbishment of Mures Upper Deck restaurant and the construction of our brand new venue Kelp Bar, we want to celebrate with all the people who have supported us over the years.

From July through to November, we will be hosting a variety of specials and events that commemorate the most iconic parts of Mures, and we can’t wait to share them with everyone. Keep an eye below for updates!

Upper Deck Restaurant & Kelp Bar Grand Re-opening

It is our greatest pleasure to announce the official re-opening of our renovated Upper Deck restaurant and launch of our new venue Kelp Bar! The opening event brought not just community leaders, but our friends, family and valued industry colleagues as we celebrated our new venues and 50th anniversary of working in the hospitality industry.

We were incredibly honoured to have in attendance Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese alongside Tasmanian Premier Jeremy Rockliff who officially opened our new venues. Tasmanian Labor Leader Dean Winter, the Lord Mayor Councillor Anna Reynolds, and honoured Ministers and Shadow Ministers from Parliament were also present.

We would like to thank our renovation partners Architect Mark Drury for his vision and expertise, the incredible team at Fairbrother lead by Darryn Purcell and Jonathan Tran-Waters, TasPorts and Westpac bank for helping this development become a reality.
